Hannah Magrum

Hannah Magrum shared with the readers of Joy of Medina County Magazine the story of her journey in becoming a partner with an assistance dog named Robbie.

There were nine chapters to the story that ran monthly, starting in April 2024 ( https://tinyurl.com/5h89wc46 )  and ending in December 2024 issue.

She has a form of neuropathy called Charcot Marie Tooth and, as a result, uses a variety of mobility aids.

Because so many times those with disabilities have their voices taken from them by others or are talked over or misunderstood, we are honored to bring Magrum’s story to readers written by her in her own words as an exclusive to Joy of Medina County Magazine..

Magrum and her husband, Thomas, have three children and live in Medina.

She is a graduate of Cloverleaf High School and the University of Akron. She has a Bachelor of Arts and advanced professional certifications and licensing.

Magrum has been a small business owner for over a decade at Cornerstone Financial Advisors. She focuses her practice on the complexities that have to do with planning circumstances involving individuals with disabilities.

As a Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC) designation holder, she is one of the few advisors in the country to focus her financial practice in this much-needed planning area. She also has a Certification for Long-Term Care (CLTC).

Her passion also lies in disability advocacy. She speaks nationwide on disability related topics, has been a podcast guest, and is an advocate for federal healthcare changes.
