“Getting Reel,” “Playful Figments” and General Contributing Writer
Sean Repuyan fell in love with writing at a young age. Whether it was a short story or academic research paper, he always felt right at home behind a keyboard or holding a pencil.
A graduate of Ashland University, Repuyan refined this passion and developed a deeper appreciation of engaging with a community.
During his time in the Journalism and Digital Media Department, he wore many different hats with the various student-run media programs.
Though he spent a lot of time in the radio and television studios, serving as news director for 88.9 WRDL and station manager for AUTV, he considered The Collegian newsroom to be his closest friend.
His love for feature writing was further deepened during an internship with Ohio Magazine where he sought to develop his storytelling alongside accurate reporting.Today, Repuyan appreciates writing community feature stories, highlighting the individual achievements of everyday life and hoping to remind readers that it is OK to be a little silly sometimes.
